How we calculate the price
We weigh the item on certified scales in your presence and determine the fineness from the hallmark and testing. Price = weight × the daily price per gram for that fineness. See the current prices on the gold prices page.
Tips before selling
- Do not clean pieces with chemicals — it does not affect the price
- Bring stone-set pieces separately — the stones may add value
- Coins and antique jewellery are often worth more than their scrap value: our expert values them separately
